Meet your mentor

Hi, I'm Wiktoria Fronc

Former England & Poland youth footballer · Ultrarunner · Mentor

At 16, I looked like I was doing really well. I was playing at West Ham, representing my country and studying hard. But underneath, I was struggling badly with anxiety, feeling alone and not knowing where to go for help.

A lot of what I know about confidence, pressure, failure, identity and performance, I had to teach myself.

Very few people have played professional football, done an Ironman at 21 and run 140 km for 25 hours straight. I don't just teach the mindset it takes. I've lived it.

I became the person I needed when I was 16.

That's why I created The Aware Athlete, so other athletes don't have to figure all of this out alone.

Athlete stories

Real athletes. Real change.

I had a consistently negative mindset around my abilities and worth. Wiktoria helped me unpack heavy, hidden feelings and build habits that still help me in and out of my sport. Now I notice my mistakes in matches in a progressive light, instead of beating myself down.

From anxiety to player of the match.

Came to me struggling with anxiety. We worked through it together, on match days and through the move to online school.

Honestly, I think this is the best practice I've had since I joined this club. I was very relaxed, my body wasn't tense and I was making the right choices. I wasn't even focused on mistakes. I was just free. At the end, the coach told me I had a great practice.
